Cleaner

Contract Type:           Permanent

Working Pattern:       11 hours per week (part-time) - All year round

Advert End Date:       12pm – Friday 4th April 2025

Salary:                            National Living Wage - £11.44 per hour (£12.21 per hour from 1st April 2025)

Required as soon as possible

The Headteacher and Trustees are seeking to appoint an experienced cleaner to join our school cleaning team as soon as possible. This position will be 11 hours per week and contracted all year round on a permanent basis. Duties will include general cleaning, vacuuming, polishing, dusting, mopping, and using an electric floor polisher. Familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques would be useful although training will be provided. Contracted hours will be mainly after the school day, but other times may be requested.

Barnwell Academy safeguards and protects its pupils and staff by being committed to responding in accordance with Sunderland Safeguarding Children Partnership. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
